Abstract

One of the basic types of spatial mobility is commuting to work. The aim of this paper is to present the selected results concerning commuting to work on the basis of the census data in 2001 and 2011. In 2011 compared to 2001, the number of outcommuters, mainly those commuting abroad increased. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of selected aspects of commuting in individual districts in Slovakia, i.e., the number of out-commuters and in-commuters and commuting balance.
