Abstract

This paper has several partial objectives. The first and the most important objective is the digitization of values of the population movement in the municipalities of Slovakia in 1971. Another objective is to achieve connectivity and comparability of data from 1971 with the present administrative division, especially with the level of municipalities. The final objective is to highlight the possible data loss due to data transfer from 1971 to the present. For the achievement of the last objective selected geostatistical methods will be used.
