Monothematic issue of the Slovak Statistics and Demography 3/2016 is aimed at children and young people. The statistical and demographic articles aim to provide an overview of selected aspects of social development, significantly affecting the lives of these two population groups. It is intended to contribute to searching for potential data sources for defining statistical indicators allowing the creation of an image of the lives and needs of children and evaluate the long-term changes.
