Abstract

The problems posed by traditional census which were fully demonstrated during the census in 2011 opened the question about future of population census in Slovakia. The views of the experts from various areas and also foreign experiences confirm the need of population census. Questionable is the form of the census. The transformation of the traditional census to another form seems to be inevitable.
