Abstract

The research explores the marriage of the population in urban areas 18 and 19
century. The aim was to examine the number of marriages, the average age of
marriages, number of marriages by marital status and confessional and rite mixed marriages. In the research were applied aggregation methods. Sources base formed church registers of all faiths, whose members lived in Sabinov. Thanks outnumbered Roman Catholic population was easiest to examine the manifestations of this population sample.
