Abstract

International migration belongs to the most dynamic processes in society. At present, it is widely discussed not only in expert circles, but increasingly among nonprofessionals too. The migration crisis in 2015 considerably raised interest in this issue. With regard to the well-known problems with the registration of migrants, its analysis is often challenging as well. However, it is much more difficult to make predictions of its future development. In this paper we discuss some relevant factors of uncertainty in the prediction of migration development in the Slovak Republic, divided into several groups.
