Abstract

The aim of the proposed paper is to underline the fact that the population is getting progressively older and, thus, the so called silver economy emerges. This phenomenon will eventually affect also Slovakia as a country, therefore preparations for this situation should be made. Similarly we try identify areas in which the silver economy i. e. aging of the population poses challenges for new business opportunities.
