Abstract

Prognostic simulations provide insight into long-term demographic development in Slovakia. The individual simulation scenarios describe the possible development of the number and age structure of population up to 2100, which could occur under certain assumptions. Thus, these are not only the most probable scenarios of future development but also the less probable and unlikely scenarios, which do not seem unrealistic from today’s perspective.
