Abstract

The article deals with the use of micro-simulation methods and models for the needs of demographic simulations and forecasts. It evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of micro-simulation mainly in relation to the use of aggregated models in demography. It also defines the prerequisites for the use of micro-simulation for demographic forecasting purposes.
