Abstract

The article deals with the basic risks of premature deaths of people under 65 in European countries. The expected determinants of premature deaths are specified and quantified, namely the social and economic situation, personal risk factors, health financing and health care quality. The aim of the article is to compare the level of
premature deaths in 31 European countries and to assess the intensity of determinant influence on the level of premature mortality. Eurostat and OECD data were used to apply the statistical methods of multidimensional comparison.
