Abstract

The 2011 Population and Housing census is one of the most important and an essential source of data used for analysis of the real picture, intercensal development and changes in Slovak society. In addition, the census also brings the necessary information for the production of concepts of policies and long-term strategies in state administration, self-government at various administrative levels. The results of the census have great importance also in the private sphere. The main objective of this paper is to point out some of the practical use of the 2011 Population and Housing census results.
