Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the published results of population forecasts designed by EUROSTAT. In addition to the future population development and population growth, we are also focusing on the changes in the age structure and the ageing process. The article also evaluates some basic information regarding the construction of projections, the formation of the possible development of the individual components as well as the level of their main indicators (total fertility rate, life expectancy at birth, migration balance).
