Abstract

The main goal of our paper is to create a database of the population change in the municipalities of Slovakia in 1972. In order to increase the database usability, transfer of the relevant data has been performed to a territorial delineation of municipalities existing in 2011. This transfer will be realized by means of two approaches, the proportional and the territorial one. We attempt to compare both of these approaches and underline their advantages and limitations. To achieve the last objective, selected geostatistical methods will be used.
