Abstract

Marital status is one of the characteristics of population which is obtained exclusively in the population census. The analysis in the article is aimed at evaluating the development of the marital status of the Slovak population over the past three decades using data from the last four population censuses and at evaluating the structure and regional differences in the population´s marital status based on the results of the last population census from the year 2021.
