Abstract
Since the early 1990s, the process of nuptiality and fertility in Slovakia has undergone several important and unique transformational changes whose main
features can be best identified through a cohort approach. The aim of this paper is to point out the main differences in these processes in connection with the highest education attained, the changes that occur and, in case of the youngest cohorts, the possible development of the first nuptiality and cohort fertility and the structure of women by parity. For this purpose, a special projection was constructed, respecting the incremental-decremental model of transition between the parities and the decremental model of the transition from the never married state to the married state.
