Abstract

The paper focuses on the identification of factors influencing enterprise deaths in the Slovak Republic using current data on active and defunct enterprises provided by the TREXiMA Bratislava, Ltd. The aim is to estimate how these factors affect the viability of different enterprises mainly according to their geographical location, size by the number of employees and the sector of economic activity. Logistic regression and its associated marginal means and contrast analysis were used to model the likelihood of enterprise deaths. The analyses, of which the results are presented in the paper, were performed by means of the Python and SAS programming languages.
