Abstract

This paper presents the latest publication prepared by the Population Statistics Department of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic. In the Slovak context, the processing of data on population, houses, dwellings, and households, classified by cultural regions, represents a brand new approach, making this publication the first of its kind. The creation of such a groundbreaking publication was made possible only through detailed and accurate data from the 2021 Population and Housing Census and statistical surveys on demographic changes. The article briefly outlines the development process, the main methodologicalbackground, and the publication´s structure.
