Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the educational structure, economic and health status of persons living in marginalized Roma communities in Slovakia through the results of the EU-SILC MRK 2020 survey. The obtained conclusions confirm the early termination of educational paths, a very low level of education attained most often basic with a significant share of people who achieved formal education in special schools. Early completion of education is also associated with an early transition to the labor market. The low quality of human capital is one of the aspects of high unemployment, especially among young people. In case of women, we identify very frequent cases of the position of a person in the household, on maternity or parental leave. With increasing age, the representation of disabled people also increases relatively dynamically. This is related to the quality of health, which generally declines rapidly with age. This mainly concerns the presence of chronic and protracted illness, as well as the limitation of normal daily activities. At the same time, it is true that the quality of health deteriorates somewhat more dynamically among women.
