The article evaluates the influence of factors that directly influence the age structure of population, i.e. fertility, mortality and migration. Prognostic simulations based on the cohort-component method are used for evaluation. Furthermore, the article focuses on finding out how the selection of indicators affects the measurement of changes in the age structure of the population.
