There are many children and young people leaving children\u2019s home each year. Most of them become independent immediately after attaining their majority. This is a vulnerable social category, that is in comparison with the rest of the children\u2018s population lacks support from their families. Immediately after their departure they are confronted with various life changes at once, such as looking for housing or their first employment. The aim of this work is to investigate the determinants having impact on employability of young people in the first years after their departure. The main starting points belong to four categories \u2013 environment of a children\u2019s home including the work with biological family, children\u2019s and families\u2019 characteristics and contextual circumstances after the children\u2019s transition. The findings can be applied in social and public policy-making, enabling better setup of measures to reduce unemployment of this vulnerable social category of children\u2019s population.<\/p>\n
