The process of population ageing has fundamentally changed along with the second demographic transition that has included complex changes in family and reproductive behavior. The aim of this study temporal aspects of Slovakia\u2019s population and changes in its age structure from 1950 to 2013. Spatial differentiation has been an important attribute of the ageing process in Slovakia.
